 Logbot output server confusion
 |  Printable Version
By: Spazed (offline) on Sunday, March 19 2006 @ 03:26 PM CST (Read 3187 times)

I cannot seem to get any output whatsoever from logbot.

I have tried everything I can think of to get it to write to my webserver and nothing. I can run the script on my local machine and see it working in the command line, I just can't get it to go online.

If I run it on the webserver and change the config file to write there I can't seem to get anything at all.

Nick = LogBot
Server =
Channel = #******
JoinMessage = This channel is now logged.
OutputDir = /logs

The directory /logs does exist

What operating system are you running logbot on ?

/logs implies you are running on Linux or Unix. Can you confirm this? Also check that the user that has startet logbot has write permissions to this directory:
ls -l /

If your webserver is hosted by someone else than you I can allmost guarantee that the physical directory is not called /logs as it implies you have root access. If you have a hosted webserver I suspect the actuall path is /home/username/logs where username is the username you logon with through FTP....
